STAKEHOLDERS POST PROJECT REVIEW MEETING @ THE NNPC DRIVEN SPDC.JV PARTNERS NORTHEAST INTERVENTION PROGRAM

Post project stakeholders review provides mechanism to clear up misunderstanding,misconception and other issues observed during project implementation………Dr Oshonwoh Ferdinand ( Executive director HORHIN)
Following the successful implementation of the NNPC driven SPDC .JV partners intervention in the Northeast,HORHIN hosted a critical stakeholders engagement in other to review the project outcome.In his opening remark,Mr Chima Nwankwuo who represented the executive director HORHIN informed the stakeholders that the aim of the meeting was not to find fault but rather to appraise the entire project,clear misconceptions and exchange notes.

He went further to commend the stakeholders for their various contributions in achieving project success.Speaking on behalf of local CBOs ,Mr Suleiman Dauda expressed satisfaction with the level of commitment shown by the HORHIN team especially in the area of sticking to agreed vulnerability criteria in distribution of relief materials.Dr Musa Likita x rayed the various efforts by stakeholders to achieve the celebrated success.Dr Chuks Nwaka who is the technical consultant to HORHIN stressed the importance of effective communication in project implementation success.

In his speech ,the Executive Secretary YOSEMA ( Yobe State emergency management agency) Dr Mohammed Maigoje commended the HORHIN team for thoroughness in execution of the project. He state that the people of Yobe State are very grateful with the humanitarian assistance.He called for more intervention from the oil majors especially in the area of skills acquisition and reconstruction of infrasteucture. He informed stakeholders that while other organizations engaged by the SPDC .JV partners are yet to find their footings in Yobe state ,HORHIN has effectively finished her implementation.
Highlight of the meeting was the award of HORHIN’S ED best volunteer award (Local CBO’S category) which went to Mr Ibrahim Mohammed for his outstanding performance during the project.

 

 

 

 

Also Mr Muktar Alhaji received HORHIN’S Director of disaster and emergency response award ( HORHIN category).
