The on going SPDC.JV partners intervention in Yobe State implemented by HORHIN moved to Abbari and New Jerusalem communities of Damaturu local government area of Yobe State.
Abbari community is playing host to lots of IDPs who are victims of bomb blast following explosion of IEDs by insurgents,While New Jerusalem community plays host to widows of slain security operatives.
At Abbari community ,one of the beneficiaries who is a 74 year old woman and a direct victim of IED gave a gory tale of how the explosion has rendered her incapacitated.She was full of appreciation to the SPDC .JV partners for coming to her aid with large quantity of relief items and making sure that the items are physically handed over to her unlike her previous experiences ..She also appreciated the quality of items she received.
The story was not different at New Jerusalem community.One of the beneficiary who is also a widow having lost her husband in the course of defending our country ,gave a harrowing narrative of her plight without her husband.
She was particularly excited with the quality of the set of cooking pots ( tower brand) .
She prayed fervently for peace to return to Yobe state.
