It was joy to behold at the Nigeria union of Journalist (NUJ) premises Ajari community of Damaturu local government area of Yobe State as hundreds of internally displaced persons thronged the venue to receive relief materials.
Ajari is kanuri word for communities surrounding the emir Palace or abode.It’s therefore not surprising that the internally displaced persons took refuge at the bossom of their protective Emir.

The people ;women,men,girls and men danced joyously as they received their relief materials.
,they equally prayed to Almighty Allah to bless and protect SPDC .JV partners.
Relief materials were also presented to IDPs taking shelter at the Police Barracks.Speaking at the occasion,the divisional police officer for the Damaturu central division Mr Zanna Bukar Dikwa admonished the beneficiaries to put the items to good use as they were meant to cushion the effect of their plights,he equally commended the SPDC .JV partners for remembering the people of Yobe State .This statement re echoed one of the foremost humanitatarian quotes…’The fact is that ours is the first generation that can look disease and extreme poverty in the eye, look across the ocean to Africa, and say this, and mean it. We do not have to stand for this. A whole continent written off – we do not have to stand for this.”
