House of Renaissance for Health Initiative is currently driving the distribution of relief items to victims of insurgency in North east region of Nigeria..
The flag off distribution at Mallam matari community in Damaturu local government area of Yobe state saw the presence of dignitaries from various sectors of Yobe state and other development partners currently working in Yobe State..
In his welcome address ,The executive director HORHIN Dr Oshonwoh Ferdinand expressed gratitude to SHELL for not forgetting the victims of insurgency in Yobe State.
He stated that HORHIN as an organization has over the years evolved new ways of carrying humanitarian intervention which entails;
Putting the people at the center,working directly with impacted communities to prepare and mitigate impact of the disaster,partnering with the affected communities to boost resilience and physically putting the relief items in the hands of the beneficiaries.
The highlight of the program was the presentation of relief items by the representative of the Governor of Yobe state who also doubles as the Executive Secretary Yobe State Emergency Management Agency ,Dr Mohammed Maigoje.
The beneficiaries expressed joy as they informed that they have never received large volumes of relief materials like this since the onset of humanitarian intervention in Yobe State.,this position was equally reiterated by some of the dignitaries.

Over 2,400 Households will benefit from this distribution in Damaturu and Fika Local government areas of Yobe State.
